My Artistic Journey
Welcome! My name is Cheryl Fish, and I am a passionate painter dedicated to capturing the beauty of nature through oil-based paints on canvas. I was initially inspired through my travels to paint and have since enjoyed painting on location "en plein air” amidst the scenery in California as well as painting scenes from my travels. I have always been drawn to nature and light. Growing up hiking in the San Gabriel Mountains with the Sierra Club and family, I became entranced by the vast horizons and color. That awareness of light and color has stayed with me, and I am drawn to capturing it.
